How many ladies can you accommodate on my wedding day?
We have a team of 2 makeup artists and 2 hairstylists allowing us to accommodate parties as small as 1 and large as 12. We have done our fair share of large bridal parties and love creating unique and customized looks for every client.
How long does it take to get hair and makeup done?
We always quote 45 minutes to an hour for hair and 45 minutes to an hour for makeup as well. Keep in mind these times should be used as a general guideline, depending on the desired look. To keep things on schedule one member of your party has their makeup done while another is having their hair styled. This allows us to handle larger groups in an efficient manner.
Is a bridal trial important?
Yes. We always highly recommend trials. One of the main reasons for a trial is so that you know what to expect on your wedding day. Looking at pictures online can be overwhelming and can often times lead to confusion. Coming in and having a trial will put your mind at ease and help you create your perfect makeup and hair look for the most special day of your life. For more information on the importance of a trial please read my following blog post.
What makeup products do you use in your kit?
Keeping in mind how the makeup translates into pictures and ensuring that the looks last all day we only use tried and tested products on our clients. Brands we like to use include: MAC, Dior, TooFaced, Smashbox, Kat Von D, Makeupforever, NYX. However we try and accommodate special requests if you have a favorite brand.
Do you offer air brush and what are the benefits?
Yes we do offer airbrush. Although we are able to achieve your desired look with traditional makeup there are a few benefits to airbrush makeup:
- It dries on contact as soon as it’s applied and does not move at all so there is no creasing or need to set with powders.
- It is extremely long wearing! You will not have to worry about dancing and sweating. It really does last a lot longer than traditional makeup.
- It looks very stunning and fresh in pictures. Due to the application process the camera reads it differently and produces great results.
- It is easy to achieve different levels of coverage with airbrush ranging from very sheer to full on cake face (which is not a look I recommend for formal events, however we can accommodate those who love that look).
